Different access to a personnalized surgical service
Since January 26, 2017, incidental expenses for insured services carried out have been abolished. OPMEDIC’s specialist doctors are always available for a consultation.
Since January 31, 2017, the Ministry of Health and RAMQ allow certain techniques and surgeries to be performed outside of the hospital setting. During your meeting with the specialist, he/she can tell you what options are available to solve your issue.
Cosmetic consultations and surgeries continue not to be covered by RAMQ. Urology surgeries such as micro-TESE and PESA surgeries are not covered by RAMQ.
Only transportation costs for biological samples may be collected ($15 for the transport of samples including a blood sample and $5 for the transport of any other sample).
Cost comparison experimental project
This is a pilot project related to surgeries and digestive endoscopic procedures between the public network and participants of the experimental project.
The OPMEDIC clinic is part of one of the three clinics selected by the Ministry of Health and Social Services for this project. Since January 2017, only patients on the waiting lists of hospitals in the regions of Montreal, Laval, Laurentides, Lanaudière and Montérégie can (at no cost) have their gastrointestinal surgeries and endoscopies performed at the clinic.
