We offer surgical services whether they be covered or not by the Quebec public health insurance program.

When a procedure is covered in the public sector, it is also covered at OPMEDIC.  However, patients will need to cover certain costs related to the surgical procedure such as  medication and anesthetic agents. The patient doesn't pay for the doctor's fees.

When a procedure is not covered by the Québec Health Insurance Plan, it is not covered at OPMEDIC either.  In such a case, the patient will pay all the costs related to the surgical procedure and the medical fees.

During the patient evaluation consult, the surgeon will give the patient detailed information relative to the surgical fees.  The possibility of undergoing the procedure in a public sector facility will also be discussed.  Just as in all patient follow-up consults, this visit is covered by the Québec Health Insurance Plan, except for the cosmetic plasty surgery.
